TIBETAN REFUGEE CENTER
Due to China's occupation of Tibet in the 1950's, unrest had been bubbling for decades. In 2008 Tibetan nationalists took advantage of the nearing Olympics and staged an uprising which was supported by many around the globe. However the nationalists were forcefully brought to order after the expulsion of all foreign media. In 2012, whilst traveling through India Alex Visited a Tibetan Refugee Centre in the foot-hills of the Himalayas near the colonial town of Darjeeling, Alex spent time capturing the environment and observing the inhabitants to understand just a little about the community.
